Qi Gong tranlates to "Energy Work"

With roots in Chinese culture, dating back thousands of years, Qi Gong consists of gentle and strengthening movements coupled with breathing techniques that are used to cultitvate Qi (energy) and improve and maintain health, increase vitality, correct deficiencies in the body,  and overall improve quality of life. There are a wide variety of forms that are passed down and practiced all over the world, they trace their origins by region, family and season, among other identifiers. I have experienced first hand the great benefits to my physical health and mental state while attending 3 years of qi gong instruction during my Chinese Medicine education at OCOM in Portland, Or. We were required to complete 2 years of instruction and given the option to obtain our teaching certification.

I always highly recommend joining a class or checking out a video recording of the many different forms, especially for those that are struggling through stressful events or chronic medical issues, It will change your life significantly for the better.
